I’m a Canadian entrepreneur and designer currently living in Los Angeles. Most recently I was the Co-founder and Chief Design Officer at RadPad.
In 2010 I dropped out of business school to join MetaLab as a designer. I had no idea what I was doing when I started, but I learned a shit-tonne in a very short timespan. After working there I started my own studio, Galpin Industries, where I worked with clients like Spotify and TicTail. I co-founded The Lost Type Co-op, the first pay-what-you-want type foundry that helped kick off a typographic revolution and cast a spotlight upon a ton of incredible designers. I'm really proud of the community it's turned into. Around that same time I was selected as one of the Top Designers under 25 by .net Magazine.
In 2012, after a few years of freelancing, I got the itch to dive headfirst into building something of my own. My two co-founders and I started RadPad with the goal of changing how people find a place to live. We built an incredible product that set the standard for rental apps. We were the first company in our space to let landlords and renters transact directly on our platform, and were featured by Apple and Google as one of the Best New Apps in their respective app stores.
Currently I’m freelancing and exploring new opportunities. Got something cool up your sleeve? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me here.
